The six-speaker system features a five-disc DVD/SACD/CD changer with progressive-scan output and front and rear floor-standing speakers. It offers decoding for the most common digital recording formats, including Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II, and can play CD-R/RW, Super Audio CD (multi), and MP3 files, in addition to JPEG slide shows. The unit also includes an AM/FM tuner with 20 FM and 10 AM presets. The entire system sets up quickly and easily, and with its S-Master full digital amplifier, is processes sound signals with remarkable efficiency.
Among the system's audio features are bass enhancement, Digital Cinema Sound (a Sony exclusive that creates an authentic listening environment), and a total power output of 600 watts (100 watts x 6).
